Nutty Choco Bars

Peanut butter bars with a chocolate pecan frosting.


  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • Chocolate Frosting:
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons light cornsyrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 13x9-inch pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar on medium. Mix together the flour and salt in a separate bowl. Stir together the two mixtures. Spread in the prepared pan.
  3. Top with the peanut butter. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
  4. To make the frosting: melt the chocolate chips in the top of a double broiler. Mix in the water and syrup until well combined. Stir in the nuts. Spread the frosting over the cooled peanut butter bars.
