This complex, slightly sweet and utterly refreshing concoction is made with aquavit; a strong yet smooth herbal Scandinavian liquor flavored with caraway seeds.

Ingredients

1 ounce aquavit
1 ounce applejack
3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
1/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse
dash Angostura bitters
lemon twist to garnish

Directions

Fill a glass with ice and set aside.
Put all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and stir the mixture for 35 seconds.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, garnish with the lemon twist and serve immediately.
