Norwegian Rice Porridge is a traditional Christmas Eve dish in Norway.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pints milk
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- butter, cinnamon, sugar for garnishing
Directions
- Rinse rice several times in water; boil the milk and sprinkle rice into it slowly. Allow the porridge to simmer for 1 hour. Add salt. Serve in soup bowls with butter, cinnamon and sugar.
