The rye and port in this cocktail mingle quite nicely together, but it’s the Angostura Bitters and the maple syrup that create such a nice interplay of flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Rye
- 1/2 ounce Port
- 1/2 ounce Maple Syrup
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Orange rind to garnish
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the orange rind, into a cocktail shaker and then fill with ice.
- Stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Run the orange wedge around the rim of a cocktail glass, twist over the contents of the beverage and then drop in the glass; serve immediately.
