Old fashioned greens and ham.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch of mustard greens
- 1 1/2 pounds ham hocks
- 2 cups water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon cane syrup
Directions
- Thoroughly wash the greens. place in a pot and add water.
- Brown the ham in a skillet in a tablespoon of fat. Add to the pot of greens. Cover and cook on medium low heat for 30 minutes.
- Stir in the syrup and salt, cover and cook for 10-15 more minutes.
