Wild Rice Casserole is a delicious and festive side dish perfect for any holiday.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 small cans mushrooms in butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons green pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup wild rice
- 3 cups chicken broth
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat butter. Add mushrooms, garlic, green pepper and onions. Cook 5 minutes. Add pecans and cook 1 minute.
- Wash rice and drain. Mix rice with above mixture, add broth and season to taste. Turn into a well greased 2 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
