Crunchy, gooey, with that bite of tomato make the Mozzarella and Tomato Melt an ideal cold evening or lazy Saturday aftenoon sandwich,
Ingredients
- 4 slices Itallian Bread
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (sliced)
- 2 medium tomatoes (thinly sliced)
- coarse salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup prepared pesto
Directions
- Broil on side of bread until lightly brown
- Turn bread over and add cheese and broil until it just begins to melt and remove
- Arrange tomatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper and top with pesto
- Garnish with basil leaves
