Crunchy, gooey, with that bite of tomato make the Mozzarella and Tomato Melt an ideal cold evening or lazy Saturday aftenoon sandwich,


  • 4 slices Itallian Bread
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (sliced)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (thinly sliced)
  • coarse salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto


  1. Broil on side of bread until lightly brown
  2. Turn bread over and add cheese and broil until it just begins to melt and remove
  3. Arrange tomatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper and top with pesto
  4. Garnish with basil leaves
