This bourbon-based cocktail has an enjoyably complex yet subtle flavor. Serve this deep-colored, pre-prohibition New Orleans gem as a per-dinner drink.
Ingredients
- 2-1/2 ounces Bourbon
- 1 teaspoon Cointreau
- 1 teaspoon Maraschino
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup
- 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 dashes Amer Picon
- Stemless cherry to garnish
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with cracked ice and then stir the mixture for 40 seconds to chill.
- Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass, garnish with the cherry, and then serve immediately.
