Mock Boursin Au Poivre is a fancy cheese ball that taste better if made 2 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator.


  • 1, 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon each: caraway seeds, dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon each: dill weed, chopped chives
  • sprinkle of lemon pepper


  1. Blend cream cheese with garlic and herbs, except lemon pepper. Pat into a round flat shape on a piece of wax paper. Chill for 1 hour to better handle while shaping it. Roll around on all sides with lemon pepper. Wrap and refrigerate for 2 days to let flavors blend. Serve with an assortment of crackers.
