Miso, which is a thick paste made from fermented soybeans and barley, adds a salty and slightly nutty taste to this delicious salad dressing.
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons yellow or red miso
- 3 large garlic cloves, peeled
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- Place the rice vinegar, yellow or red miso, garlic, sugar, ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, olive oil and mayonnaise into a blender, and process until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.
