Quick, sweet popcorn that can be coated using the microwave.
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 quarts plain fresh popcorn
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- Mix together the sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in a microwave safe dish. Microwave on High, until it comes to a boil and cook for 3 minutes.
- Stir in the baking soda until well mixed. Pour over the popcorn, stirring until well coated.
- Pour the popcorn into a large brown sack. Loosely, fold over the top and cook on high for 3 minutes, shaking every minute.
