Microwave Calico Bean Pot is jazzed up with smoky bacon and a touch of mustard.
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1, 1 pound can each green beans, kidney beans, butter beans and lima beans, drained
- 1, 1 pound can pork and beans
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- Place bacon in 3 quart microwave dish. Microwave for 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp. Remove bacon and add onion. Saute onion in bacon drippings for 3 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients with onion, mixing lightly.
- Microwave covered, at half power for 30 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Crumble bacon over the top.
