Meyer lemons are native to China and are thought to be a cross between a lemon and an orange. Their taste is sweeter and less acidic than a typical lemon and they have a fragrant and deep yellow skin.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh Meyer Lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- Cold water to 2 quarts
- 8 sage leaves
Directions
- Place the Meyer lemon juice, sugar and water in a pitcher and mix until all the sugar has totally dissolved.
- Stir in the sage leaves and place the beverage in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours to steep.
- Remove and discard the sage before serving in glasses filled with ice.
