Meyer lemons are native to China and are thought to be a cross between a lemon and an orange. Their taste is sweeter and less acidic than a typical lemon and they have a fragrant and deep yellow skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh Meyer Lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Cold water to 2 quarts
  • 8 sage leaves

Directions

  1. Place the Meyer lemon juice, sugar and water in a pitcher and mix until all the sugar has totally dissolved.
  2. Stir in the sage leaves and place the beverage in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours to steep.
  3. Remove and discard the sage before serving in glasses filled with ice.
