Meringue pie shell, perfect with fruit or cream filling pies.


  • 4 egg whites, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Beat the egg whites until they are foamy. Beat in the cream of tartar until stiff. Slowly add in the sugar and vanilla. Shape in a greased pie plate.
  2. Bake at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour. Allow to cool in the oven.
