Olive tapenade, dry sherry, oregano and basil give this unique Bloody Mary cocktail its Mediterranean flavor and style. 


  • lemon wedge
  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1-1/2 ounces citron-flavored vodka
  • 1 ounce dry sherry
  • 3 tablespoons olive tapenade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 barspoon dried oregano
  • 1 barspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 32 ounces tomato juice
  • 5 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 2 ounces fresh lemon juice
  • 2 ounces fresh lime juice
  • cucumber spear and an olive to garnish


  1. Place the salt onto a small plate. Run the lemon wedge around the rim of a glass to moisten and then dip the rim into the salt, pressing gently to adhere.
  2. Place the remaining ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously for 35 seconds.
  3. Strain into a tall, ice-filled glass and then garnish with the cucumber spear and the olive. Serve immediately.
