Classic Maryland Crab Cakes make a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup mayonaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • oil for frying

Directions

  1. Remove cartilage from crabmeat. In a bowl mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonaise and seasonings. Add crabmeat and mix thoroughly but gently. Form into cakes. Pan fry in hot oil until browned on both sides.
