Marinated Vidalia Onions are delicious with a pork roast.


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 4 large Vidalia onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • celery salt to taste


  1. Combine sugar, vinegar and 2 cups water in large bowl, stirring to dissolve sugar. Separate onion slices into rings. Marinate overnight. Drain onions thoroughly. Add mayonnaise and celery salt, mixing well.
