Maple Snickerdoodles

If you love Snickerdoodles, you will love the added maple flavor in these chewy cookies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar, divided
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup maple sugar

Directions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar.
  3. Beat in egg and syrup.
  4. Blend flour combination into egg mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together remaining sugar and maple sugar.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, then roll into sugar mixture.
  7. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
