This sweet cake is delicious! Ideal for potlucks or large family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
  2. Stir in maple extract.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt; blend into egg mixture along with milk.
  4. Fold in walnuts.
  5. Pour batter into a prepared 8x8 baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
