A deceptively simple-seeming combination of Angostura bitters, brandy and sweet vermouth make this smooth and complex-flavored cocktail.
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1/4 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1-1/4 ounces brandy
- Lemon zest to garnish
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the lemon zest, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish the drink with the lemon zest and then serve immediately.
