One of the best chowders I have ever made.
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound diced bacon, fried and drained
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, thinly sliced
- 3 stalks celery with leaves, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- 1, 15-ounce can chopped up tomatoes, with juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 4 red potatoes, diced
- 2 cans clams with juice
Directions
- Place all ingredients in the crock pot.
- Mix until blended well.
- Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then turn to low for 8 hours.
