Simple baked low-fat meringue pie shell.


  • 3 egg whites, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar


  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Beat the egg whites until foamy. Stir in the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beat until moist and stiff peaks form.
  3. Spread into the pan, covering the bottom and sides.
  4. Bake for 1 hour, or until lightly browned. Cool.
