Simple baked low-fat meringue pie shell.
- 3 egg whites, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate.
- Beat the egg whites until foamy. Stir in the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beat until moist and stiff peaks form.
- Spread into the pan, covering the bottom and sides.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until lightly browned. Cool.
