Delicious, creamy pie topping meringue.


  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons sugar


  1. Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar and vanilla. Beat until soft peaks form. Slowly beat in the sugar until the mixture stiffens and becomes glossy.
  2. Spread over the prepared pie and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
