This hearty dish will be a touchdown for your low carb Super Bowl guests. For a change, substitute lean ground beef for the turkey.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 jalapenos, seeded, minced
  • 1-1/4 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  2. Add onions and cook, stirring often, until onions are softened and translucent.
  3. Add garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute, then add jalapenos and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
  4. Place ground turkey in saucepan and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until almost browned.

Come on Joyce - do the math. It's not that tricky to figure out the carbs in this recipe yourself!

I used a little broth to cook onions eliminating the oil, and 6 large fresh Roma tomatoes. Also a pinch of cumin. With 6 servings 155 calories, 4 carbs, 2.5 g sugar, 18 g protein. Love This!!!

The recipies fine ,but you fail to tell how many carbs and what the serving size is,which is most important
