This well-known cocktail created in the 1970s tastes like a refreshing iced tea beverage but is in fact anything but. Surprisingly, it doesn’t even contain tea but a mix of numerous ingredients, including 5 different sprits, which simulate the flavor. Many bars make 2 the limit as this seemingly harmless cocktail packs quite a punch of alcohol.
Ingredients
- 1/2 ounce vodka
- 1/2 ounce gin
- 1/2 ounce tequila
- 1/2 ounce light rum
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
- Cold cola
- Wedge of lemon
Directions
- Place a collins glass into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Put the vodka, gin, tequila, rum, lemon juice, triple sec, and sugar in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and then shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds to combine.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice and top with the cold cola.
- Garnish the cocktail with the lemon wedge and serve immediately.
