This well-known cocktail created in the 1970s tastes like a refreshing iced tea beverage but is in fact anything but. Surprisingly, it doesn’t even contain tea but a mix of numerous ingredients, including 5 different sprits, which simulate the flavor. Many bars make 2 the limit as this seemingly harmless cocktail packs quite a punch of alcohol.

  • 1/2 ounce vodka
  • 1/2 ounce gin
  • 1/2 ounce tequila
  • 1/2 ounce light rum
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • Cold cola
  • Wedge of lemon

  1. Place a collins glass into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Put the vodka, gin, tequila, rum, lemon juice, triple sec, and sugar in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and then shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds to combine.
  3. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice and top with the cold cola.
  4. Garnish the cocktail with the lemon wedge and serve immediately.
