Simple liver and onion dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds veal liver
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
- Chop the liver into 3 inch squares. Add the salt and pepper. Coat with the flour, and fry int he shortening until both sides are golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- Using the same skillet fry the onions in the drippings, stirring constantly. Add the liver back into the skillet with the water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Do not overcook as the liver will become tough if cooked too long.
