This cocktail is made with Italian Cynar; bitter-tasting Italian liquor made from 13 different kinds of herbs and plants.
- 2 ounces rye
- 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1/2 ounce cynar
- 1 maraschino cherry
- Pre-chill a cocktail glass in the freezer for five minutes.
- Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full with ice and then pour in the rye, vermouth and cynar.
- Stir the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into the prepared glass.
- Garnish the cocktail with the cherry and serve.
