This citrusy syrup is especially tasty drizzled over yogurt, cake and panna cotta dessert. Substitute the lime with lemon if desired for lemon syrup.
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Place the lime juice, sugar and the water into a saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a rolling boil.
- Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the mixture for 8 minutes.
- Remove syrup from heat and allow to cool before serving.
