Lima Bean Casserole is creamy with a sweet and savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound dry lima beans
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon dark corn syrup
- butter, melted
- 1/2 pint sour cream
Directions
- Soak beans overnight in water to cover in large saucepan. Drain beans and add fresh water to cover. Cook until water is absorbed. Combine beans with next 4 ingredients and 1/2 cup butter in casserole, mixing well.
- Stir in sour cream. Drizzle 1/3 cup butter over casserole. Bake at 330 degrees F for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
