Lima Bean Casserole is creamy with a sweet and savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound dry lima beans
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dark corn syrup
  • butter, melted
  • 1/2 pint sour cream

Directions

  1. Soak beans overnight in water to cover in large saucepan. Drain beans and add fresh water to cover. Cook until water is absorbed. Combine beans with next 4 ingredients and 1/2 cup butter in casserole, mixing well.
  2. Stir in sour cream. Drizzle 1/3 cup butter over casserole. Bake at 330 degrees F for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
