Lightening Cake Bars

Lightening Cake Bars are tender and light.  Sprinkle with pecans and cut into bars.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Directions

  1. Beat eggs and sugar together. Add rest of the ingredients. Spread thinly over the bottom of a greased 8 inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with pecans.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 20 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.
