Yummy lemon pie, top with meringue if desired.


  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 eggs, yolks
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon butter


  1. Combine the sugar and cornstarch. Mix in the milk and egg yolks. Heat over medium until thick, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from the heat and add in the lemon juice, lemon peel and butter. Pour into a pie crust. Top with meringue if wanted.
