Lemon Nut Cake is a homemade favorite sure to be a winner with your family and guests.
Ingredients
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 ounces lemon extract
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 4 cups flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 pound white raisins
- 1 pound pecans, chopped
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar in bowl until fluffy. Add lemon flavoring and eggs, beating well.
- Sift dry ingredients together. Mix raisins and pecans with flour. Add to creamed mixture. Spoon into greased and floured tube pan.
- Bake at 275 degrees F for 2 hours.
