Lemon Nut Cake is a homemade favorite sure to be a winner with your family and guests.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 ounces lemon extract
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pound white raisins
  • 1 pound pecans, chopped

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar in bowl until fluffy. Add lemon flavoring and eggs, beating well.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix raisins and pecans with flour. Add to creamed mixture. Spoon into greased and floured tube pan.
  3. Bake at 275 degrees F for 2 hours.
