This elegant cocktail, made with gin, fresh lemon juice and limoncello, is actually enjoyed as an apéritif even though limoncello is a classic ‘digestivo,’ otherwise known as after dinner drink.


  • 2 ounces gin
  • 2 ounces limoncello
  • juice from 1 quarter of a lemon
  • crushed ice
  • thinly sliced lime zest to garnish


  1. Fill a wine glass with crushed ice and then pour in the fresh lemon juice.
  2. Add the gin and limoncello, stir to combine and then garnish with the thinly sliced lime zest; serve immediately.
