This simple lemon dressing adds an enjoyable fresh and citrusy bite to carrot, cabbage and turnip salads, as well as steamed mixed vegetables.
- juice of 1 large lemon
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- pinch of salt
- pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 medium garlic clove, minced
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- Whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic and olive oil in a bowl until completely blended. Serve immediately.
