This simple syrup is a wonderful and tasty addition to your favorite cocktails. Store the syrup in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.


  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 - 2 inch piece of ginger, thinly sliced
  • Peels from 2 Lemons


  1. Place the water in a large saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, add the sugar and stir continuously until dissolved.
  3. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the ginger and the lemon peel. Cover the mixture and allow to steep for at least 1 hour before using.
