Unfortunately, this cocktail made with a blend of gin, vermouth, fresh lemon juice and Grand Marnier is usually remembered every four years and then forgotten until the next leap year comes around.   


  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 1/2 ounce vermouth
  • 1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • Twist of lemon peel


  1. Place a martini glass into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Put the gin, Grand Marnier, vermouth and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and then shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds to combine.
  3. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and garnish with the twist of lemon peel; serve immediately.
