Ingredients

  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Par boil shanks in salt water for half an hour.
  2. Remove shanks and arrange in baking dish.
  3. Pour tomato puree over shanks and add 1 can of water.
  4. Add the garlic, oinons, peppers, salt and pepper to shanks.
  5. Cover loosely with foil.
  6. Bake in 400 degree F. oven.
  7. Bake 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
  8. Best when served hot.
