Ratafia, a sweet liqueur made from wine, brandy, fruit and bitter almond, is combined with cognac, fresh lemon juice and white wine in this rich cocktail blend.


  • 2 ounces cognac
  • 1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ratafia
  • white wine
  • red apple to garnish
  • cinnamon to garnish


  1. Place the cognac, lemon juice and ratafia into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
  3. Top the drink with a splash of white wine and then garnish with the apple slice and a dusting of cinnamon; serve immediately.
