Place your tofu steaks in this zesty and spicy Serrano chili and key lime-based marinade sauce for a few hours prior to cooking. It provides amazing flavor and a considerable amount of heat.
Ingredients
- 5 serrano chilies
- 1 small onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1-1/2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 medium tomato
- 4 key limes, peeled and seeded
- sea salt and freshly ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients into a blender and process the mixture until smooth. Put the tofu steaks into the marinade, toss to coat and then cover and marinate for 3-4 hours before cooking.
