Jane Street Onion Clam Soup is made simple with an envelope of dry onion soup mix.


  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 1/3 cups milk
  • 1, 10 1/2 ounce can minced clams


  1. Mix onion soup mix and water in a saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes.
  2. In another saucepan, make a white sauce by melting butter and stirring in flour and milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Mix onion soup and white sauce and clams with juice together. Reheat but don't boil.
