A tasty and spicy soup.

Ingredients

  • 2 hot sausage links
  • 2 pounds white fish
  • 3 small onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 package frozen okra
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 5 stalks celery
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Directions

  1. In a skillet brown sausage.
  2. Blacken fish with pepper and paprika.
  3. Brown fish in a hot skillet.
  4. Saute onion, celery, green pepper, and garlic until tender.
  5. Add stock and tomato sauce, spices, vegetable and fish to crock pot.
  6. Cook on low 3 - 4 hours.
