This creamy recipe for Indian-style tea is brimming with a wide array of spices and flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 individual tea bags
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 cardamom seeds, crushed
- 1 whole clove
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2-1/2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
Directions
- Place the water, tea bags, cinnamon stick, cardamom seeds, clove and ginger in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the milk to the mixture and return to a boil over high heat.
- Boil the mixture for 1 minute and then strain into 4 mugs. Serve immediately with sugar.
