This creamy recipe for Indian-style tea is brimming with a wide array of spices and flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 individual tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cardamom seeds, crushed
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2-1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Place the water, tea bags, cinnamon stick, cardamom seeds, clove and ginger in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the milk to the mixture and return to a boil over high heat.
  4. Boil the mixture for 1 minute and then strain into 4 mugs. Serve immediately with sugar.
