Corn bread with a different twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white corn meal
  • 1 cup white cream corn
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1 cup bisquick
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 small can diced ortega chilis
  • 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Pour mixture into a 10 inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 minutes.
