Hunter's Stew is hearty and made with venison.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds deer meat, cut in chunks
  • 2 tablespoons beef suet
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 carrots, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, choppped
  • 2 potatoes, cut in chunks
  • 3 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 large can tomatoes, chopped

Directions

  1. Brown meat in suet. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with water. Cook until meat is tender. Add vegetables and simmer until done.
