Vension and gravy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds venison stew meat
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Place the meat in a heavy pot with the shortening, salt and pepper. Brown, stirring occasionally.
  2. Pour in 1 cup water. Cover and simmer until tender.
  3. In a separate pan, boil 1 cup of water. Stir in 1 tablespoon of flour. Pour into the meat pot. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
