Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds venison stew meat
- 3 tablespoons shortening
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Place the meat in a heavy pot with the shortening, salt and pepper. Brown, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in 1 cup water. Cover and simmer until tender.
- In a separate pan, boil 1 cup of water. Stir in 1 tablespoon of flour. Pour into the meat pot. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
