A slow cooked rib, barley and vegetable stew.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless short ribs
  • 1 cup pearl barley
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, cored, seeded, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Mix everything together in a greased slow cooker. Cook covered for 8-9 hours on low, 4-1/2 to 5 hours on high.
