This cocktail was supposedly named after millionaire Mr. Harry Payne Whitney, who at his death in 1930 was apparently worth over $62 million.

Ingredients

1-1/2 ounces sweet vermouth
1-1/2 ounces gin
1 dash Mesquite Gum Syrup

Directions

Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Slowly stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass; serve immediately.
