Hot Water Pie Crust is versatile and great to have on hand in case there's a call for pie.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup boiling water
Directions
- Sift flour, measure, then resift with salt. Add boiling water to shortening and stir quickly to dissolve, then add sifted flour and mix to a stiff dough. Wrap in plastic. Chill at least 30 minutes before using.
