This is a deliciously warm and creamy beverage that is especially enjoyable during the holiday season. Unwind with a mug after a long, hard day of Christmas shopping.


  • 6 ounces milk
  • 1 ounce light rum
  • 1 teaspoon bar sugar
  • 2 dashes vanilla extract
  • dash Angostura bitters
  • Freshly grated nutmeg to garnish


  1. Place the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, and then stir in the rum, sugar, vanilla and bitters.
  2. Once the mixture becomes very hot, but not boiling, transfer to a warmed mug and then garnish with some freshly grated nutmeg; serve immediately.
