Use regular ground coffee, not instant, for this spicy and sweet coffee beverage treat.


  • 6 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1 tablespoon chopped crystallized or candied ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 cups cold water
  • Whipped cream and chocolate syrup to garnish


  1. Place the coffee, orange peel, ginger and cinnamon in a coffee filter, and place in a coffee machine to brew.
  2. Pour the coffee into mugs and garnish with some whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Serve immediately.
